Thank you for purchasing a Behind The Board knife block and cutting board combo. Each piece is handcrafted and designed for both functionality and durability. 

Proper care and safe use are essential to maintain your product and reduce the risk of injury.

1. General Safety

• Always handle knives with care when inserting or removing them from the block
• Keep fingers clear of blade edges at all times
• Store knives securely and ensure they are fully seated in their slots
• Keep out of reach of children

Warning: Improper use of knives or knife storage products can result in serious injury. You assume full responsibility for safe use.

2. Proper Use

• Use the cutting surface only for food preparation
• Do not use the product as a step stool, support, or for unintended purposes
• Avoid excessive force, dropping, or impact

3. Cleaning Instructions

• Hand wash only using mild soap and warm water
• Do not soak or submerge in water
• Dry immediately with a clean towel
• Do not place in dishwasher

4. Maintenance

• Regularly apply food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner to maintain the wood
• Allow the board to fully dry between uses
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated area

5. Environmental Exposure

• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or humidity
• Do not expose to extreme temperatures or direct heat
• Keep away from open flames or stovetops

6. Natural Material Disclaimer

Wood is a natural material and may:

• Expand or contract with changes in humidity

These characteristics are normal and not considered defects.
